Scary Sunday

Uh oh! Looks like there’s another Dina Day looming!

Your first task this morning is a bit different from the usual. Before you read the rest of this post it’s important to click on the following link. You need to watch the entire thing, although you are allowed to skip the advert.

OK, now on to the real business of the day… Today is Scary Sunday (cue spooky music).

When it comes to decluttering, we all have those scary places, or scary jobs: the mound of bags and shoes in the bottom of the wardrobe, the shelf of sauces and flavourings in the kitchen, the room of doom, the pile or ironing…

Your task for today is to begin tackling your scary place. You don’t have to launch a full scale attack, just make a start on it: pull out just a few things and deal with them properly. Put some shoes into pairs, decide whether to keep or discard them, clean them and put them where they are supposed to be. Pull out those packets of sauce you bought when they were on offer, but which taste revolting. Iron a few items from the pile. When you have been a big brave girl or boy, don’t forget to reward yourself, perhaps by watching a scary film.

Dina Days!

Dina was a member of the less-stuff community who, with her unusual sense of humour, has discovered a flair for writing amusing decluttering challenges, which we call 'Dina Days'. She died after a short illness but gave  me permission to put her words of wisdom on the website. I'm honoured to be able to keep her with us in this way. Lisa
