Coughs and sneezes spread diseases
The very best way to stop spreading a cold is to not sneeze on people! Firstly, it’s gross, secondly it is easy to avoid if you have a hanky. Disposable hankies are really popular because they are considered more hygienic but if I ever use one, I use it more than once anyway. A proper cloth hanky is much nicer and kinder to the environment too.
If you are dropping hints for presents then add ‘handkerchief’ to the list.
Make your own
If you have some nice soft fabric to use you can make your own. There is a tutorial in the Eco-Friendly Autumn book that shows you how to make super neat corners and has alternatives for hand sewing, machining and no sewing too.
